Review on Reusable BPA-Free Sous Vide Bags For Any Machine - 20 Quart And Gallon Sizes For Joule And Anova Cookers - Food Storage And Freezer Safe Vacuum Sealer Bags From OUII by Shane Grosland

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Yes and no best in my review

I like the thickness and quality of bags, but remember do not let the air valve go under the water. It will fill you bag with unwanted circulation water. Yuk. Not to mention your poor sous vide machine will need a good cleaning. The suction tool is not the easiest to get lined up, so it takes many frustrating tries. The video was the product not acting up like usual. It usually takes minutes to suck all air out. Remember the air valve and tool have to be perfectly aligned to work. Over all. I like it except for the hand tool not being user friendly.

Pros
  • Price is right. Works well with sous vide cooking.
Cons
  • It’s pretty difficult to get all the air out of these.

Giving 3 instead of 2 stars cause I have no other experience with sous vide bags and it''s not what I bought them for. I was trying to keep veggies fresh longer but the bags aren''t staying air tight. I''m guessing either you have to freeze them to keep them air tight or that the seams are so hard to cinch that I''m not getting them 100% closed. Either way, it''s frustrating. Also kicking myself for not getting a mini electric one. It''s not terribly hard to manually pump but I''m impatient and it would be quicker to have an electric pump.
