As a siding newbie this seemed like a good idea on paper. When I tested it I was able to make perfect marks on siding and straight cuts, but it takes twenty times longer than if you just learned how to do it like a pro and didn't use tricks like this. You might like it, but I'd argue that it's largely unnecessary and a waste of money. I'm happy to sell mine if anyone wants to buy it. In terms of quality and materials, it's a pretty good quality and will definitely exceed your desire to use it.
