This is normal. They are mostly compatible with our other kits. Pointed rectangular shapes, like the edge of a castle wall, seem to repel other parts in strange ways. The magnets on it just aren't as strong as the big brands or even other brand kits we have. It's not very obvious with small buildings, but when your kids enjoy building massive towers like mine, it becomes obvious. At first I thought I liked that the wheels were on small pieces rather than big bases and that opens up more creative possibilities for building. But they just don't hold with weaker magnets. Children get annoyed that the wheels keep falling off. What I definitely like are the colors. There is a lot of pink, and the rest of the colors are more pastel. This is a huge hit with one of my girls who loves all things pink. And I love that they come in a plastic bucket with a lid, especially since I'll keep them separate from all the other tiles because of the weaker magnets. I wouldn't pick them again, but if you're just looking for a set and aren't adding it to a collection, this might be a decent option, especially if you want pink!
