I wanted this to work, especially as replacing it with another brand means more holes in the wall. But after the TV was attached to the bracket as instructed, I adjusted the bottom of the wall plate a bit (it had to be about 3/8" away from the top, i.e. tilted out enough) to level the TV. Not a heavy TV (40lbs) so it seems odd, but that's because there's no way to lock the TV from side to side. You may not notice this until you hang the TV because the instructions say the wall plate is to be leveled. But with the TV on it, every time I changed the position of the TV, the TV went way out of level. This is due to the flat wall hook that holds the mount and TV to the wall plate, and the mount rests on a curved surface without the ability to fix the cross plane. You can see it in step 6 in the installation guide. The included Allen screws (screw [S] in the manual) keep the TV level so it's easy to move with every touch. This cannot be fixed by changing the height of the wallboard. because it is the attachment point of the TV mount to the swing arm that is causing the problem. Likely to return to Revain if the company doesn't have a solution to the side-to-side wobble problem. Customer service is not up to par. Sent an inquiry on Saturday, they haven't responded by Tuesday. It was a bank holiday weekend but still they say they are available 7 days a week. Today is Wednesday and the problem is still not solved. Now they want me to call. INSTALLATION ISSUES: The bracket extensions were incorrectly labeled "L" and "R". I think they should be saying "UP" and "DOWN". Otherwise you'll have to screw the bottom ones back and they won't fit properly. The instructions also do not state on which side the extensions should be screwed to the bracket. PROS: It's nice that no tools are needed to adjust forward tilt, and the mount feels solid overall, despite various issues. However, you must return it if there is no solution to the TV shaking problem.
