GameCube controllers are ridiculously expensive these days, a decent option sells on eBay for around $35-$50. In times like these, it's nice to have cheaper alternatives. Build quality is excellent for the price, but I have a few complaints. The main analog stick jerks and jumps. Unfortunately, if you're a professional Smash Bros player, this controller lacks the fidelity of the original. When you flip the analog stick, it tends to lean back and read in the opposite direction, making your character face the wrong way. The analog stick also feels somehow non-analog. It only seems to lock in eight directions, so playing Super Monkey Ball is out of the question. This is actually good if you don't need precision, e.g. B. if you plan to play an RPG or Mario Party. The buttons are deeper than you'd be comfortable giving it the feel of a clumsy Chinese controller. To be honest, if they made the analog sticks better, gave the keys a millimeter or two less travel, it would be a no-brainer. At the moment they are suitable for most types of games that do not require high accuracy. Finally, you may still need an OEM controller.
