I like everything about it with one exception; the worm screw is a bit "fat" and chews the cork hard. By the time you have screwed it all the way into the cork, splinters of cork will have accumulated around the insertion point. Once or twice these little chewed pieces of cork would fall into the bottle when the cork was removed from the bottle. I suspect the auger is larger than others we have used in the past because the metal is not high carbon steel. Had it been made of good quality steel, perhaps a thinner screw would have solved the problem of squeezing out those little bits of cork. Overall not a bad tool. It's worth it.
