First of all I have to say that this is a very powerful swivel. However, here's the bad: The shackle has a continuous pin and bearings on either side of the cylindrical part of the swivel and is attached with a spring clip on the opposite side. Right out of the box I noticed that the end of one of the bearings had been pushed into the cylinder by a poor fit, causing it to be stuck and not moving as freely as the other bearing. Obviously this will cause the bag to not bounce properly. The big problem is that the OD of the through pin is almost 1/8 inch smaller than the ID of the bearing surface it is supposed to travel on. This renders the bearings unusable as they are never used. I have a cheaper swivel that I tried to improve by installing it with no bearings but with much less play around the through pin. Also, the screw holes are very small and will need to be drilled larger if you already have a swivel and want to replace it with this one. I love ringside speedbags but this swivel was disappointing.
