My wife and I are expecting a granddaughter this June so I wanted to make something special. This is my second cross stitch project. It was fun. I have only back seams and am waiting for Kairi's birth to be completed. The toys on the shelf are very cute and relatively easy to make. It's not a complicated pattern. I'm a beginner and only had minor issues completing the project. If you are looking for an entry level project for a newborn or toddler, this set should be considered. The kit comes with everything you need, including a 14 gauge white Aida, plenty of extra thread, a needle, a pattern and full instructions. The coding is very easy to understand. I have a word of warning though: almost every toy is sewn with triple strands of yarn. Therein lay the challenge. It also made it very beautiful because shades of color are visible through the richness of the three-row stitches.
