The microphone works but is completely unbalanced and has a lot of self-noise. The capsule is very noticeable at mid-range frequencies, but has a decent high-frequency response. The switch looks nice, but since everything is out of balance, all you hear when you turn it off is hiss and hum, nothing. The case is made out of cheap plastic and seems to crack after being dropped a few times. . The XLR connection on the underside also has no metal housing. The cable/jack supplied is an unbalanced XLR-TS, but in my testing I used a standard balanced XLR line for a mixer. Multiple cables were used in testing to see if any noise/hum issues could be cable related, but even with a brand new cable the mic exhibited these issues.
