This is my first experience with a dog restraint system so my basis for comparison is limited to the research I did before choosing this restraint system.Aside from positive reviews, my choice was based primarily on the strength of the material and method of connection I was not disappointed.The limiter is very well made and the price is very reasonable for such high quality components.However, one of the two I bought has not been spared from surface damage from my three month old chewing puppy as the rubber covers at each end of the cable are torn exposing the underlying metal, however the tether function is intact e Restraint systems secure the dog to the car with a belt mechanism. This secures the dog with metal latches built into the car frame, deeply embedded and accessible between the car seat back and the lumbar cushions. Because the seat belt can accidentally loosen or loosen, the buckle connection is much stronger and more secure. Releasing or securing the dog while moving is as simple as unhooking or hooking the end of the harness off or on the dog's harness. The locking end of the wire harness remains attached to the machine. Both dogs they were bought for weigh less than 20 pounds; So I ordered small. However, the dogs are a bit long, so I would like to order at least one that is 21 inches long. The larger of the two dogs can barely move with the 16-inch restraint system and can't lie down (remember some of the cable length is lost behind the seat). The smaller of the two dogs, who happens to be a tough pup, is best with a 16-inch mount at least for now, as the longer length will likely destabilize her and allow her to go over the front edge of the car seat. After all, a product is only as good as the people behind it. And Leashboss customer service is top notch. They are fast, polite and respect the product warranty. Evidence of essence from top to bottom, but that restraint is close. I am very happy with my purchase, I highly recommend Leashboss and I will not hesitate to order again.
