Considering BMW's bad train of thought in placing a giant carbon fiber front brace just above the airboxes, changing the filters on my M3 was a fairly easy task. There are several videos on YouTube to help you deal with this. The whole process has taken about 45 minutes since I first changed them and was careful and a bit slow. After that, it's a maximum of half an hour's work. Both filters are pre-lubricated with oil and ready for use. I've definitely noticed more turbo noise (also removed the charcoal filters while in the airbox) and throttle response seems good. Would buy again but luckily the OEM interval is 60k miles so probably won't need it.
