Well I bought this for my 2016 Toyota Tacoma. It seemed to work. The vent flaps are quite deep, so the small hook can only grab the bottom flap. The rest is too deep. As soon as I hooked it to the bottom valve, it closed. But I found that rotating the vent 180 degrees solved the locking problem. But it vibrated a lot. And it put the phone in the place of the washer lever. Even with the D-Pad, they still give you a bounce and vibrate more than I wanted. So it just didn't match the Tacoma-style vents. But then I noticed that the ball mount is the same size as Garmin's old-fashioned standard ball mount that Harming used to use before they switched to the new style. So I dug up an old Garnin dash mount I had. I attached the charging portion of this vent mount to the sphere. Lo and behold, it works like a charm! It just took a little ingenuity. And of course the tendency not to throw anything away. lol The magnet is good and strong, holds the phone with no problems. And the charger seems to work. I haven't tried full charging yet.
