Review on 🎧 Topping E30 Mini Stereo DAC HiFi AK4493: Ultimate Home Theater Game Music Decoder by Charles Butler

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Surpasses many times more expensive devices!

The first thing I heard was people complaining that this DAC has a volume control and they want it to have a fixed output. It does! This device can work in two modes: as a preamp and as a dedicated DAC! Press and hold the multifunction button on the front of the device. It will appear and then change mode. If you need a dedicated DAC, just do that and you now have a fixed output to send to your headphone amp, audio amp, etc. for sound. I use my device with a Topping L30 headphone amplifier with proven SOTA sound quality. Every little detail is revealed - from the pedals on the piano, your hands on the guitar neck, even the faintest of studio noises on good recordings are delivered to your output device without the slightest trace of hiss. I also tested it with NAD and Onkyo amps (both with built in amps) and it turned out to be the best sound source they both had. Filters that the AKM 4493 chip has without getting up from your listening position and without interrupting the sound to get to the menu. The presentation is simple and clear. The beautiful orange digital display shows bit rate and volume (in preamp mode) and is large enough to be seen from a distance. The input and the DSD mode are also displayed here. There are three brightness levels, the lowest of which is roughly equivalent to that of an LED alarm clock in dimming mode, making it suitable for use at night. I have no complaints about the topping E30. Take it and be happy for a long time.
