This is my third 3D printer. This should have been an upgrade - reviews are generally pretty positive - but my experience was very different. Some of the many problems: Assembly instructions are not very good. Many important points are not described or are incorrectly described, such as the necessary information on which wires need to be connected to which other wires (the method is available) and the mention of the nuts and bolts required to install some parts, as it turned out, are already on parts. Nuts and bolts are basically awful - the nuts are directional, and you have to put them in the grooves with no clues as to exactly where they're supposed to go. So you need to align them to fit the groove, support what you are installing so it doesn't fall or fall out, then tighten the bolts and IF YOU'RE LUCKY the nuts will partially rotate and help hold the unit present. It didn't work at all for me, especially the computer interface, which I never left in place. If there's a catch, it won't be revealed. I've found references to wires and already half-assembled screws and bolts in YouTube videos, but never a reference to the best way to assemble nuts and bolts. After I had everything more or less assembled, I tried to print it out. The cat printed fine on the original CD (but 6H was used instead of 4H in the filename). Nothing else I tried to print printed well. I followed every bed leveling advice I could find including videos from Dr. Wax and others. One of two things happened to me: either the bed was raised too high when I started typing and the printhead was lifting it, or it wasn't raised high enough and I was weaving a web of threads in mid-air. cannot buy replacement magnetic beds. Once this happens you are doomed and will have to buy another cover as a replacement e.g. a different brand of magnetic bed or a glass bed. I would really like to get more than one good print before buying any material for this unit. So very lame! Surely I'm not the only one who needs a replacement for the magnetic bed plate? In fact, I know this isn't the case - many are complaining about this issue and the lack of a replacement in threads on the Amazon, Reddit, and Creality forums. Apparently they don't do customer service. I am the registered owner of Simplify3D and have mainly used it in my slicing attempts. They look good, but this printer doesn't actually print them. Also, after following the recommended bed leveling procedure closely, the bed is already damaged. Indeed, slicing looks fine, but printing doesn't - in mid-air or when rubbed against a flexible magnetic platform. So I requested a refund for both this one and the BLTouch I wanted to add. Life is too short. I will do more research and buy the best printer from the best company. I guess it's possible that my device is defective, but at this point I've spent a few days getting it to work and using a lot of filament and just used it up. make. no Care.
