Thumbs up to the people who designed this great mount/lock and thumbs down to the people who decided to price their product at a premium sell who saves the castle. A lock intended for use in a car should and can easily be made from materials that are not prone to rusting. Saving a dollar per item to increase profits is not a fair way to do business. Mine is mounted horizontally on my jeep. It looks like a good quality unit and fits my 3 gallon Rotopax. After reading about other lock rust problems, I decided to oil it and wrap it in a black nitrile rubber glove. I used a UV protected rubber strap to hold it in place and I'm sure it won't rust with quarterly lubrication. 2 stars deducted for this. Throw in a quality lock with anti-rust protection and it's an easy 5 star product.
