Let's face it, if you're reading this review you really want to know "is this worth buying?". Short answer: YES, and here's why. First, let me say that this is my third FoodSaver. They are all different and serve different purposes. However, since I've had it, this particular model has become my daily driver. It's perfect for everyday tasks like sealing meat, cheese and more, but also great for leftovers. A detachable drip tray is always welcome (my largest model doesn't have this feature) and all of my current accessories are compatible with it, so you don't have to buy everything new (you could say BONUS). I really like its small size. It takes up so little space that it stays on my kitchen countertop. Despite being so small, it seems as powerful as the larger models (although it obviously isn't), however some things seem to take a little longer, but it's not really noticeable. It is compatible with 8" rolls and 1 quart (or less) sealed bags. If you're still using an older model, you'll love that the vacuum and seal buttons are separate so you don't have to use the vacuum function to seal the bag. You can just click "Print" and you're done. All that is said when there is a minus, and it seems big. It will be control. Switching between the Open, Save, and Work functions can be quite a challenge. So much so that if you suffer from arthritis, particularly in your hand or have weak hand strength, you'll definitely want to look at another model. My mother has very mild hand arthritis and cannot use it at all. Thought it might get easier with time but no luck at the moment. Otherwise, it's a really great little device. lots of space, this could be the foodsaver for you. If you're still hesitant to buy this, jump in and buy now. Can I recommend it?
