This product is named because you don't want it to be visible to everyone. It's cheap and poorly assembled. The wooden dowels don't fit very well and a few mounting screws were also loosened without being tightened. I hang this shelf in my closet so structural integrity is not an issue, the anchor bolts keep it tight and secure. However, if you plan on moving the unit (it comes with legs) or want a piece of furniture that looks nice to hold books, knick-knacks and the like, you might be better off buying an Ikea. I have numerous Ikea bookshelves with hundreds of very heavy records and books on them and they are rock solid.
