Firstly I don't install them in place of fog lights. I make my own headlights and need projector cases for this. Although I rated it five stars for "easy to install", I don't install them the usual way. These are decent little projector bodies at $55 a pair (Morimoto Mini H1 7.0 is the gold standard, but they're $60). everyone). I immediately threw out the bulb that came with it and replaced it with a 9006 LED. I won't go into the useless little bulb that comes with these projectors - it's about the size of a flashlight bulb. If you buy them, do yourself a favor and buy LED bulbs at the same time. GOOD: The LED ring and LED bulb together draw just under 1A at 12VDC. The actual projector pattern is pretty decent, although it bleeds a bit at the edge. The front lens is very clear, appears to be of good quality. The body is strong yet light. Suitable for 9006 lamps (takes about 2 minutes). BAD: Not enough mounting options. The included mounting hardware is not very strong. When using 9006 lamps, the housing is not sealed at the back. Easy enough to fix with silicone. The LED ring is made of cheap plastic and attached to the main body. Overall I'm happy with this for my project, but see the limitations above. They might not be ideal for fog lamp replacements or outdoor use, and the included bulbs are rubbish (seriously, it would be better not to turn on the bulbs at all).
