The base coat works well. It's warm and comfortable. The reason for the 1 star rating is the bad faith of the label. Wool does not generate static electricity. Only synthetic fibers become static. This base layer keeps getting static even though the label says it's 100% wool. The truth is that it is not 100% wool. Many products made in China falsely advertise 100% wool when it is actually a blended fabric. This seems as far from the truth as other Chinese-made products. Not to mention that the price you pay for this "100% wool" far exceeds its true value as a blend of wool and man-made fibers.
