Very easy to take if you have mechanical skills. My grandchildren could do this. Took me 1 hour and to be honest I spent most of my time figuring out where to put it. The instructions are ok if you have an idea of how a cable works. Pre-drill holes for the screws so they don't get hot and break. Common sense is not that common. Throw away the rope and get the best, it's cheap, what's the difference. What did you expect for the price? I would recommend this to anyone and if you have trouble pulling up 100lbs you are a wimp. 100 pounds is a lot to hang from the ceiling for any length of time unless you have a 2x6 design. I lift a 200 pound deer on my 4x4s, but I won't leave it there for long. Use your head for something other than a hat rack. There are many bad reviews about this product that I just don't understand. Some people just like to pee and moan about nothing. Use your head again. For this money I can even buy another one if I buy another kayak or canoe.
