So when I was looking for a hygrometer I saw several different types, many of which had less than perfect ratings (over 20% of one star ratings). When I saw this I thought less than 10% of the reviews were bad. Also, it's relatively cheap (compared to others). So I took the plunge and bought them. Big mistake. They were delivered today and I've had them out of the box for over four hours now. Temperatures are accurate (within 0.2 degrees of each other and consistent with a home thermometer), but relative humidity readings don't work. They all display a value - 48, 52, 54, 56 - but that value hasn't changed since they came out of the box. I put them in the humidor where I store Cuban cigars and the digital hygrometer (calibrated using the Boveda Calibration Pack) reads 69.8% humidity and 68% F. These four hygrometers have been in the humidor for more than three hours, and the humidity reading has not changed since it was unpacked. The temps are fine and seem accurate, but that's not why I bought them. So if you're still reading this, you're taking a risk by buying these hygrometers. Agree, there are quite a lot of satisfied customers. However, you run the risk of becoming one of the many with something not working. Looking through the negative reviews, it turns out that most of them are new (within the last year) so quality control at the factory may be slipping. I see the company says they have a 30 day warranty on the product. I will come back to update this on my experience of trying to get them back.
