I am a complete newbie to hair clippers so I have no comparisons but I can definitely say this hair clipper set is easy to use! I use it 2-3 times a month to cut my hair and each time it gives a relatively clean cut. The attachments are easy to attach and detach, so it didn't take me long. The battery life is also impressive! I fully charged the clippers when I got them in April and have used them maybe 8 or 9 times since then, but I still haven't had to charge them! I think I'll have to hook them up soon, but overall they did a great job. The blade does get a little warmer the longer you run it, but I would expect that to only be an issue if you need to use it on multiple people in a row. For a quick 20-30 minute haircut (occasionally off) this works very well. My only suggestion is to wear a cape or use a towel to cover your neck - this kit doesn't come with it and it's itchy if you don't use anything at all.
