I'm not a runner and I don't even do a little exercise. What I expect from a running shoe is nothing more than all-day comfort, even if I walk all day on cobblestone streets across Europe. my normal size. Sometimes I can wear a size 6.5 depending on the brand, but usually a size 6.5 is too tight for me. These shoes run about half a size too big. I will make this size 7 work by wearing slightly thicker socks but I really needed a size 6.5. The shoes are well constructed and exceptionally light. The stitching is strong, the sole fits well. The shoes are fully synthetic, although some parts of the upper look like leather. It has a rubber sole. There is a removable foam insole and a foam midsole. The outsole provides good grip, and the insert feels comfortable thanks to the soft cushioning. The rubber outsole has good traction. I've even gotten a few compliments on how beautiful these shoes look. It took me a while to figure out the lacing. I figured out how to loosen and tighten the laces, but it wasn't until I read another review that I figured out how to HIDE the extra laces. It counts in the world! Comfort, quality and compliments - a winning combination! These are 5 star shoes I am giving 4 stars because the pair arrived in slightly used condition complete with weed in the box.
