Ideal for RVs: weight scale

Bought for the RV because it was so small and easy to store without getting in the way. As others have pointed out, it's not very easy to stand on. I was looking for a tiny scale because I remember there used to be a half size grapefruit you could stand on with one toe. But I couldn't find it, and I bet that's because it's very hard to weigh yourself on one foot. That's what I was hoping for with this one (that's why I bought it: it's a little bigger than my foot). But it doesn't work (well, I took some measurements but it was standing absolutely still on one leg). So standing on it with two feet is the only safe way, and it's not easy either (and that may be due to age). The only thing I could think of was to rock myself in hard-soled slippers. I calculated that they weigh 0.7 pounds, so I'm just mentally subtracting that from the ad. In terms of accuracy, it's within two pounds of the very accurate scale I compared it to (at the doctor's office). The error is consistently that (mine, at least) indicates I'm 1.7 pounds lighter. Because it's so consistent, my document says the error is irrelevant. The scale shows me whether I have lost or gained weight. As for the mistake, his point was don't worry - he'll be happy if I get 1.7 pounds off my target weight - in fact he (and I) will be thrilled. I recommend this product if you have small feet, excellent balance, or are willing to weigh yourself in the same slippers over and over. If none of the above applies, consider going to a larger scale (unless you *really* need the smallest possible). Btw, I suppose some people already know about this, but don't use it on carpets or you'll think you've lost a lot of weight :-)
