Will not work on brick

I bought this set specifically to hang my calendar in a wooden frame (no more than 5 pounds) on a brick wall in the kitchen. I placed a hook on the brick and flattened it by pressing to ensure maximum contact. Then I hung up my calendar. He went to clean up the remaining hooks. And returned just in time to catch the frame as it bounced off the wall. The description says it works on a brick. It's not like this.
