I use this retractable cable in combination with Squid's Ergodyne Model 3700 tool connectors to protect tools from falling off in a forklift. The retractor fits over the 3M Protecta Body Belt and the length of the strap allows me to work with my arms fully extended without having them fully extended. Note. It won't support the weight of a drill or impact wrench when fully retracted. The intended use is to prevent the tool from falling to the ground if it slips out of my hand or is otherwise thrown out of the bucket.
