Review on Merrell Womens Trail Sneaker Paloma Women's Shoes for Athletic by Miriam Davis

I bought the Merrell Women's Trail Glove 5 based on my many years of experience with the Merrell Women's Trail Glove 4: oh my god what a *worse* Difference. 4 because they fit like a glove on my feet. Unfortunately, the Trail Glove 5 has noticeable (high) medial arch support; runs wide, long and higher around the ankle. So the 8.5M felt like a man's shoe. I had to check the box to see if they were for women and not men (it said 'women'.) Definitely not like the previous shoe and not at all like a 'glove'. Merrell: Why change something good?! Because the material around the ankle is higher than the Trail Glove 4, it touches my ankle and warns me of possible future irritation. I'm disappointed. The shoes are back.
