I hoped the negative reviews were overblown, but they turned out to be very accurate. I was going to try this from the Valve Index when my cable broke. In anticipation of a replacement I decided to order a replacement headset and figured I'd try that instead of the second Index. But wow. Pros - It weighs less than the Index - a little more comfortable than the Index - can't see the net door effect. All well in focus seems to have excessive highlights than Index, outside of the very narrow spot in the center everything else is too blurry. It's hard to enjoy sharper resolution. - The display is too dark, I can't make it brighter - apparently there are only 90 or 120 Hz modes. The Index has an 80Hz mode that is particularly useful for some games. Terrible sound. I haven't tested the mic, but I hear it's terrible too. $300 more expensive than the Index headset. an improvement over the index, the experience is of very poor quality. Stick to the index.
