Very good adhesive - doorstop

These things are good value and the silicone provides good noise dampening when the doorknob is hit. When they arrived I was unable to remove the lid to reveal the adhesive. However, the instructions indicate that once installed, they can be removed by heating with a hair dryer. So I heated the protective adhesive backing with a hair dryer for about 15 seconds, after which the protective adhesive backing was very easy to remove. I then installed the device onto a textured painted surface. It sticks very strongly to the surface.
