They work the same as the more expensive Epson version No problem but I avoid firmware updates just in case. They are identical to the original cartridges, so I'm not sure if the machine will suddenly recognize the difference, but why risk it? lol Tip: If the nozzle check shows blotchy lines, DO NOT CLEAN THE NOZZLES AS IT IS LOSSING A TON OF INK. Instead, remove the problem cartridge, put a tiny drop of medical alcohol on the ink hole, blot with a piece of paper, nothing is blurred. Put it back in the printer and check the nozzles again. If you do not print often or for a long time, or if the cartridges are not opened for a long time before use, the ink hole will dry up. Also your printer may just be wearing out or the heads need professional cleaning instead of being flooded with lots of ink. The nozzle cleaning function only floods the heads with used ink.
