Review on Discontinued Canon EOS 7D Digital SLR πŸ“· Camera Body Only with 18 MP CMOS Sensor by Iyan Iyan ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

I expected mediocre quality, but it was a pleasant surprise.

I switched to 7D from 300D And at first I was even upset that it shoots worse on the same lenses, but gradually I figured it out and realized that the CANON EF 28-135 IS lens, which worked great on 300D, is not suitable for 7D. Therefore, I had to use Canon FIX 50 1.4 first, and then Canon EF 16-35 + Canon 70-200 2.8. And only after that the camera revealed its potential. I do not advise using non-native optics. buying tamrona 17-50 VC was a mistake - which did not allow to realize what was planned and almost did not lead to the wrong conclusion that the carcass was to blame (high-speed focusing was needed), but thanks to the comrades who gave the "fifty kopecks" for a while. Therefore, for those who want to buy this camera and save on optics, I advise you not to waste time and money, but with good lenses it can realize its full potential in capable hands.

Pros
  • Convenient control, autofocus, magnesium body - dust and moisture protection
Cons
  • Crop, if it can be considered a disadvantage, the exactingness of the lenses used, is not intended for novice photographers, because. reveals its potential with fine-tuning the camera and careful choice of optics, the operation of the built-in flash (a contradiction arises, you need good optics, usually with a large lens diameter, and the edge of the image is darkened, i. E. it is necessary to use an external flash)
