The hair dryer is light and seems to dry my hair quickly when I use it. I have long thick hair so it always takes time to dry my hair. One problem I keep encountering is my finger or hand constantly pressing the power button, which slows down the speed. Don't turn it off, just reduce the power level. It may simply be that my particular device has a defective switch that is very sensitive. I don't press the switch hard, it's just a small squeeze. This happened every time I used it. That's the only downside I've found so far. I've only been using it for a few weeks, I guess time will tell.
