As a former wine bar waitress and regular wine lover, I have to say I am very disappointed in this corkscrew. The notch on the lever isn't deep enough, so when you open the bottle you risk either slipping into your palm, which is very painful, or pushing sideways with such force that you risk breaking the glass on the neck of the bottle . In either case, using this product puts you at risk of injuring your hands. It came in a silly fancy box but I only needed a corkscrew for regular use. This wasn't a practical purchase for those who really want to open bottles.
