It was the first item in the Effaclar line of products. About a year went by during which I utilized this gel. The gel is applied and wiped off, has a mild scent, a pleasing consistency, and foams nicely. The gel thoroughly washes the skin; I didn't feel like squeaking, but I did feel fresh and like my skin was clean and pure. I used it daily in the morning and evening for a year on my extremely oily skin! And up until he started to horribly dry me out, I was extremely happy. Due to this, I changed to La Roche-Posay Effaclar H foam, with which I am irrationally happy, but that is a totally separate tale.
