Love this stand mixer. I thought I'd like the Kitchenaid I had, but after kneading dough in it a few times, it turned off the equipment or something. I've made several batches of bread using a dough hook and some bread that looks more like dough than dough. That works great. I like that the bowl fits much better than my KA. I have actually used this device quite a lot since its inception. I can't say enough good things about it. I had no problems with the engine. It's a little louder than I thought it would be, but I'm happy with it and it doesn't interfere with my headphones. I'm actually looking for where to buy an extra bowl so I can go about my business while I wash the others. Another plus is the size of the bowl. When I make pumpkin bread, the mixture fills KitchenAid. Thanks to this size, I have enough space and not have to worry about the dough flying around where it doesn't belong. Just be sure to add the paddle, you need to turn it on to get clearance to attach the paddle. Once you remember it, it doesn't matter anymore. Happy baking this holiday season!
