No separate power cord required, powered by the HDMI port on the TV
Video quality was good and unlike many other Lightning to HDMI adapters, the device didn't have to be plugged into the USB port Be powered or AC adapter as the HDMI port powers the device. However, this means that if you want to charge your phone while watching HDMI videos, you will need to charge your phone wirelessly. Even on a device that removes HDCP, you cannot play HDCP-protected content.
