Easy to use. My dog would not stop barking at the neighbor's dog, and once she became agitated there was nothing I could do to distract her long enough for me to correct her behavior. I use it more like a dog whistle - it gets her attention just long enough for me to tell her "don't bark" and then compliment her for being quiet (even if it's only for a few seconds). This is not to scare the dog. or punish them, and that won't immediately fix the situation. It's more like a quick loud noise to get her attention. If you need a humane way to interrupt your dog and get their attention, this is a great device.
