The paring knife worked well, the paring knife and the overall design were a bit disappointing. That. It was hard to find a second one when I wanted to take it to my boyfriend's house a few months ago. When I saw it I jumped on it thinking it was a close replacement but it wasn't even close. The peeler has a smooth edge and doesn't dig into the skin of fruits and vegetables like my other one which has a serrated edge. The cover over the knife part is not interchangeable (like my other ones) to cover the knife part which means you have to be very careful to hold the end of the knife like a handle. There is a small plastic cover on the blades of the knife, but it is not very easy to remove and put on. To open the lid, you had to press two small handles in the middle. The design just isn't very smooth, but it does hold the lid a bit more securely when using the peel end. Still useful when you have very little kitchen space and need something with multiple functions. It's hard to find a 2 in 1 knife set like this. The quality and design of this knife is ok in my opinion.
