Bought this item to replace Hitachi 640GB 5400rpm SATA3.0G /b or SATA II. It started clicking and then stopped. It came with Toshiba Satellite which I have been buying for 2 years now. So I looked for a replacement and read good reviews about it. I installed it two days ago and then installed Windows 8.1 Pro. and I found this: this product is amazing, it is everything they described in the reviews. It is not only quiet, but also very fast and saves battery power. When I finished installing the operating system and all applications; I immediately noticed the speed without sacrificing battery life or noise. Unless you look at your laptop's hard drive light and see it flicker, you don't even know the hard drive is doing anything. In general, Revain was delivered on time exactly as promised. I have exactly the same status and description as on the Amazon page. If you are looking for a durable, fast, reliable hard drive with long life and battery life savings at a very affordable price, I would recommend you to go for this product. Note. The laptop itself supports SATA II (3.0 Gbps), but accepts this hard drive easily and naturally, which means that you don't have to do anything to make this hard drive work as SATA II, even though it is SATA III (6.0). D/b). Windows 8.1 pro formats it with a native 4k sector, so it's fast on my system. I'm posting this note for those who have an answer as to whether this works on his laptop with SATA II and not SATA III. I was skeptical at first but after linking it I would definitely recommend it.
