I have an old Brother Laserjet in class because I let students print to their laptops via USB. The biggest problem I've had over the years is the drum as I usually get really bad streaks on the edges of the paper after about six months. It's time to replace the drum and you've decided to switch to another non-brand. After about two weeks and over 100 pages printed, I had no problems. It works just like other brands and drums and just like Brother. Again, the biggest problem is usually streaks that haven't happened yet. If you are looking for a cheap alternative as long as it works. If streaks start or I have any issues with it I'll definitely update my review but so far so good especially with lots of double sided printing. It was also very easy to set up and install, which I always appreciate.
