Toner works as advertised. We use genuine HP products for our main printer as we get more than advertised and the quality is perfect. We are an accounting firm so you can see the coverage is pretty good too. To save money on our individual printers we don't usually buy toner from the manufacturer as there are many companies that sell compatible toners at a fraction of the price but for our main printer it's not worth the risk. Remember that for non-production printers, we spend less than $300 on printers, which means the total cost of a printer per year is still much lower in the event of a problem. I will never buy compatible toner for our main printer
