**Updates** I've been using it for about 3 weeks. It is water repellent rather than moisture repellent. Water still penetrates, but not too much, which is cute and very comfortable. I've used it a few times when I'm in the shower, there isn't much water but it's not as thick as the picture but it's light weight so I'm ok with that. You need to make the band by yourself, but not like the picture, that's not the shape of the band. These are just two pieces of fabric that you can knit however you like.
