Who knows. Good for replacing under sink water filters
I give it 5 stars although I don't know if it actually works. It's quite expensive there, so I won't buy a new one just to cut it. I cut open one that I just replaced after a year on the cold water line that powers my water heater. It is filled with small plastic balls. They have a light brown tinge. There are still a few clear ones left. Throwing them away leaves a hard part that looks spongy but isn't. That is hard. Only time will tell if it keeps deposits from damaging my water heater.
