Review on 🖥 ASUS 970 Pro Gaming/Aura ATX AM3+ AMD 970 + SB 950 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.1 Motherboard by Matt Louis

10/04/18 edited; I bought this board on June 28, 2015. Since then she has developed a very uncomfortable handicap; it randomly freezes completely and *only* responds to the reset button. Even Ctrl+Alt+Del *doesn't* work. My original review [below] dealt with the circumstances of replacing my first cell phone. I still use CPU, RAM and other components for initial installation. I've seen several websites with troubleshooting suggestions including disconnecting drives and removing everything but 1 stick of RAM at the same time. I can try if it gets worse; or I can just buy a new PSU as my tests show low power output, within +/- 5% but just under [+12V is only 11.4V] and I can use a 500-660W PSU get for $50-68. I can't remember when it started, but it's been an ongoing problem for at least 2 years, maybe longer. BTW, *IF* anyone knows what is causing this or what to do about it, I have posted this online but no one has responded. I had to replace my motherboard due to a lightning strike entering my house through a cable line. As a result, the motherboard failed along with some other devices. It was fried, I had to recycle the CPU and RAM. This board was spot on, it was only $79.99 and it was a "Prime" item so I was able to get it in just a few days. If I had more money I could buy a more luxurious board with a feature set, but this board meets my needs. Now, *IF* I can fix the switch on my UPS, I'm ready for the next lightning strike.
