Review on Timer Color Changing Boiling Boiled by Chelsea Hunter

Color change timer is NOT for hard boiled eggs

Color change timer is for hard boiled eggs only. I like well done yolks but dislike overcooked veggies so I have timers. First try, place timer and eggs in water, bring to a boil and cook until the whites on the timer are set. I took 1 for a sample, the yolk in the center is still runny and the white is not dense. Return the saucepan to the stove and continue cooking the remaining eggs for a few more minutes, until the timers turn completely white. I checked another egg, the white is already set, but the center of the yolk is still light yellow and shiny. The remaining eggs are cooked for another 4 minutes, the timers have not changed since they are already completely white, finally the eggs are finished cooking. A week later, a second attempt was made using timers. As before, add the timers and eggs to the water, bring to a boil and cook until the timers are all white, then cook for a further 3 minutes. Checked the egg, it's almost hard, but the yolk isn't quite even. Cooked another 5 minutes and now part of the yolk has started to darken green due to overcooking. The bottom line is that these timers won't work if you want to hard boil an egg where the yolk is fully cooked. save money
