As elderly people, we have hardly used our traditional wood-burning fireplace in recent years. Setup was easy, just plug it in and you're done. I plugged it into a smart outlet so I can turn it on and off via Alexa. Very handy, although I still have to use the remote to turn it on, which I think should be a safety device with the heater. I followed the advice of previous reviewers and took the setup a few bricks. I also added some ceramic logs and placed them on the sides so the logs don't look rectangular. Then I added 10 pounds. a bag of black lava rocks on my fireplace floor to further enhance the look. I turn it on first thing in the morning. without a heater. while drinking coffee and watching the news and almost never turning off most of the day. before sleep. It gives such a warm atmosphere to the family room. No more looking at the black box or changing candle batteries like last year. quality product. Don't think you will be disappointed when you buy this!
