I've been using this product for about 3 years and always buy it from Revain. I have very straight thick hair and it holds up great without making my hair "coarse" or making it look like I'm wearing a helmet. It is not sticky or greasy while leaving the hair obedient. You (or your friend) can still slide your fingers through it. LOL My hair looks dry when I use it alone. I mix it in my hands with a dab of high shine lipstick before applying to give my hair a "healthier" natural look. I've come across this a few times. I think just after it's sat on a shelf in a warehouse for a while just waiting to be bought it sometimes separates. I just fill the sink with hot water and run the pump in it for about 10 minutes. Then I shake it very well and then everything is fine. It takes me a few months to get through the bottle and I've had no problem sharing it again.
