This mop is comparable to the very popular brand o cedar (which my father has). This mop is a little different from cedar in that the mop rotates rather than the basket, which rotates with the pedals. You push the mop handle up and down to rotate the mop head. This mop also differs from cedar (and what I see as an advantage) in that it has a 2-piece wringing system. The mop actually rotates in the mop bucket itself for easy rinsing between uses and then part 2 - place the mop in the basket to wring out excess water. What I don't like about cedar is that if you don't have all the mop strands in the basket when you call (which is tricky because there isn't a lot of free space), you'll get splattered. Also, the mop head can be angled, but when tilted it makes the wringer system difficult to use. I would also say the quality is a bit lower than cedar. The bucket isn't that big and the materials seem a bit cheaper. Overall I love and enjoy mopping floors.
