The quality of these tubes convinced me. I'm about the age where I remember the old paper straws you could buy at the grocery store (before plastic was the norm) and those straws were always terribly flimsy and flimsy and you had to drink pretty quickly because the straw just broke through . some time (the paper gets wet!), but these lovely straws are not only beautiful but also very durable (if you try to crush them between your fingers you really can't) and last a very long time. I'm so glad I have paper straws again and nice ones at that! Oh and one more thing. When you put paper straws in a drink, they won't pop out of the drink like plastic straws, they stay in place!
