I bought it on purpose because it runs on 18650 batteries which I have a lot of. With all our technology, we play with this little guy in the kitchen every morning. Why? Because it's reliable and hassle-free, like all of our new veiled phones. All you have to do is "click" on the watch face and it will work. It's more than we wanted as it comes with an MP3 player, a micro SD card slot, a headphone jack and even a 5V DC port. I don't know what it does; can the phone charge? I do not know. Anyway, this pup is great. The sound quality and reception is much better than other old radios I use in my bedroom and bathroom. I would definitely buy it again.
